Over the last year, I found myself talking to a lot of people - young people - that had been badly affected by the pandemic, by the lockdowns and by the government's handling of both. Some stuck paying for a university they hadn't even seen the inside of, some forced to take a year out because they weren't given the grades they deserved and many losing jobs, work experience and opportunities to learn and grow.

I created this film to shed light on this problem for young people and their mental health, and to show the variety of different ways it's impacting them. But in entering the Now festival I discovered that this is really just the tip of the iceberg, and so hopefully now we can start to do something about it.
